Florida's Hispanic Heritage: Commemorating Florida’s Quincentenary in Tampa Bay

In order to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s arrival in Florida, the University of South Florida in collaboration with the Tampa Bay History Center, the Centro Asturiano, the Cuban Club of Tampa, and the Ybor City Museum Society held a scholarly conference in conjunction with a weeklong series of community events, and a teacher-training workshop on Florida’s Hispanic Heritage.

Conference took place on October 17 through 20, 2012
