Florida's Hispanic Heritage: Commemorating Florida’s Quincentenary in Tampa Bay

In order to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s arrival in Florida, the University of South Florida in collaboration with the Tampa Bay History Center, the Centro Asturiano, the Cuban Club of Tampa, and the Ybor City Museum Society have proposed a scholarly conference which will be held in conjunction with a weeklong series of community events, and a teacher-training workshop on Florida’s Hispanic Heritage.

Conference will take place on October 17 to 20, 2012

Several Locations including the Tampa Bay History Center, the Centro Asturiano, the Cuban Club of Tampa and USF
